Ninpuchan Artwork

All of these pictures are my own creations. Some of them feature characters that are not of my creation, but are well-known cartoon characters in their own right. Oh well... it's not like Rumiko Takahashi spends her evenings combing the Internet in search of porno pics of her own characters in order to get into lawsuits, eh? (Knock on wood.)

Brigadier Swirl

Preview image of swirl.jpg Ninpuchan was created about a year and a half ago, and has since become the featured storyline for this page. However... almost a year before that saw the creation of another, slightly less marketable story... the Lovely Pregnant Brigadiers, a sort of maeiusophilic twist on the concept of the 'magical girls' genre, of which Sailor Moon is the most famous. I'm not sure what did it, but my interest in this story has been rekindled recently, and it may become as important to this site as Ninpuchan in the future.
So here's the thing: Alexis, our heroine, is the leader of her team, the Lovely Pregnant Brigadiers, and the most powerful of all of them... or at least she would be if she weren't a clumsy, self-conscious daydreamer. Her circumstances are very different than those of her friends, the other four Brigadiers, each of whom became pregnant in the usual way. Alexis did not-- she is not accustomed to her hugely pregnant body. (Although, to be fair, she seems to have pretty much mastered balance in this picture.)

World Shaking & Water Breaking

Preview image of lovin6.jpg A recent discussion on the PG-13 message board brought up various couples that the readers would like to see Lovin and Akira in costume as. Favorite suggestions included Lum and Ataru, Homer & Marge Simpson(!) and the one that struck me as funniest, and therefore best-- Haruka and Michiru, alias Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, the lesbian couple from Sailor Moon.

Sometimes, there are moments when I feel very privileged to be a heterosexual... in drawing Akira's hairy, marshmallow-pale legs, I experienced a very strong moment like that. Beware, all you straight men, for you may experience it too...

Search Me... We're Just The Knockers!

Preview image of kasumi2.jpg Something of a watershed for me... this is a character I'd never, ever heard of, until I started receiving multiple requests for her. Her name's Kasumi, and apparently she's a character from a video game called "Dead Or Alive 2." This picture is based on the first thought I had upon seeing her picture-- "My god, her breasts are the size of my head!"
The title is a reference to Jim Henson's Labyrinth. Now you know!

Oh Bite Me, It's Fun!

Preview image of crowrama.jpg By complete coincidence, Stephen submitted his Kurama picture when I was in the throes of completing this one. It's not a problem, because his is far more true to the spirit of the character. Mine? Well... OK, let's start with the explanations.

  • Kurama is princess of the Crow Goblins in Japan's Urusei Yatsura.
  • Crow is the lanky gold robot from America's Mystery Science Theater 3000, the show where a guy and two puppets make fun of bad movies.
  • In episode #701, Night Of The Bloodbeast, the main character of the film goes into space and returns with his blood impregnated with monster shrimp. This inspires Crow to claim that a bloodbeast has made him pregnant as well, therefore getting out of household chores. When Mike Nelson (the human guy) points out that he's just wearing a padded babydoll dress and showing off an X-ray that he's taped shrimp to, Crow snaps and goes on a hateful tirade about how helpless pregnant women and babies get all the attention.
  • I really, really, really wanted to do a MST3K-themed picture, but none of the regular female characters would look terribly pretty if pregnant, so... voila! Substitute Kurama for Crow, throw in the immortal line about how the pregnancy occured, and it's an erotic cartoon goldmine!
  • Mike Nelson is officially the hardest person in the universe to caricature. I'm speaking from experience here.

Mother-To-Be vs. Mother Brain

Preview image of samus.jpg She's every Nintendo player's favorite bounty hunter-- Samus Aran. She's been ignored too long by her parent company, but that will (hopefully) soon change, since she recently made an appearance in graphics demos for the upcoming GameCube system. What's she been doing for the past five years? Well, here's my take on it...
Avid Metroid fans will remember that at the end of the third game, the giant Metroid that Samus had raised from a hatchling sacrificed itself to save her from the Mother Brain (not the one who controls the Terrestrium, but the one voiced by Levi Stubbs), and merged itself with her in the process. Now, no animal can knowingly override its survival instinct... so naturally, the Metroid wouldn't have done that unless there was a way to bring itself back from the dead! Which results in a rather lengthy period in which Samus will have to modify her armor...

Miss January-- Midrille

Preview image of january.jpg Here's the kickoff of a new PG-13 feature: the Ninpuchan Swimsuit Calendar 2001. As a way to sharpen my drawing skills, introduce lesser-known Ninpuchan and alert everyone of important dates in the MP community, each month will bring a new calendar page, with a beautiful (I think) Ninpuchan showing off her sense of style.

January: This is Midrille, a Ninpuchan based on a snakelike creature with wings. Midrilles jump like springs and coil themselves to maintain balance in the air, but Midrille herself cannot fly-- she sidewinds, or rolls if her belly is big enough. Her wings are merely decorative. Because midrilles come in two varieties, wild and military-grade, Midrille gives birth to twins every time, one of each.

Nightgown Of The Swollen Womb

Preview image of xmaslovin2.jpg Since the holidays are over and everything's being cleaned up and spiffed up for Valentine's Day, it seemed appropriate to add a picture showing what happens when Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the holidays of hedonism and gluttony come at you in rapid succession.
Quick fun facts in rapid succession-- Lovin's birthday is on Christmas Day, just like Mistress Fire-Hazard's. The hideous socks Lovin is wearing are identical to a pair belonging to Ms. FH; ugly, but ubercomfy. The title of this picture is a pun on "Nightgown Of The Sullen Moon," which is a picture book and a song by They Might Be Giants. Post-Merry Christmas, friends.

Lovin's Wish List

Preview image of xmaslovin1.jpg You know that song "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" and all the various schoolyard mutations it goes through? Well, what do you ask for for Christmas when you've got a good job, a doting boyfriend, a baby on the way, and two front teeth to top it all off? It sure isn't a PlayStation2, I'll tell you that much.

Maternity Leave

Preview image of farewell.jpg A special tribute to the first American all-CG pregnant site, PGN Network, which will be going down for good at the end of November. If you've never been there or don't remember, this woman was the PGN mascot. At first she had no name, but after a naming contest was held, she was dubbed Princess Lydia Gravidia. Here I've drawn her waving goodbye from the window of a train, off to new adventures in new places, to spread the love wherever she may go.
Incidentally, my entry in the naming contest was "Princess Ume." Ume is Japanese for 'plum', inspired by her ripeness and the color of her dress. This isn't relevant; I just wanted y'all to know that.

Tim Burton's New Nightmare

Preview image of nightmare.jpg Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas is a true cult movie, in that people either detest it or love it beyond their means. Ms. FH and I fall squarely into the second category, which led to this, another in the recent series of pictures starring Lovin and Akira as great screen couples. Incidentally, drawing Lovin's dress for this picture was a blast-- why don't more women wear patchwork clothing?

The Mask Of Akira

Preview image of zorro.jpg Mistress Fire-Hazard's favorite movie in all of moviedom is 1998's The Mask Of Zorro, starring Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. After recently viewing it again, she begged me to do this picture... and how could I say no?
You may notice that this one kind of focuses more on Akira than on Lovin, but I'm sure Lovin's many fans won't have anything to complain about. I couldn't decide whether his mark should be "Z" or "A"... so it's sort of both.

Today's Secret Word Is...

Preview image of lovin5.jpg Unlike the previous week's update, this picture has no inspiration in real life at all. This picture literally came to me in a dream... and as far as I can tell, it serves but two purposes: to design a mecha suit for Lovin, and to reminisce about how cool Pee-Wee's Playhouse used to be. Sigh. I did so love the Eighties....

...I Wanna BABY!!!

Preview image of lovin4.jpg One of Mistress Fire-Hazard's (my girlfriend, whom Lovin is based on) most endearing traits is her tendency to go on 'baby binges,' which means that every once in a while she'll become obsessed with motherhood. And everything that reminds her of motherhood, be it a baby carriage, a child laughing from across the restaurant, or even noticing the way her stomach sticks out when she sits a certain way, will trigger the same response-- her face will crumple up for a second, and she'll cry, "...I wanna BABY!" Then I'll have to comfort her for a minute or two.
As you might have guessed, she was on one of these binges this week. That inspired this picture, wherein our alter egoes, Lovin and Akira, are having a similar moment...

Aye, Robot

Preview image of artemis.jpg It would be unfair of me to leave all the obscure, never-left-Japan characters to Stephen... so here's a picture of a character that you've probably never, ever seen. This is Artemis, a character from Beast Wars II (an anime sequel to our computer-animated Beast Wars show). Artemis and her bunny pal Moon are androids living on the moon of planet Gaia, and they serve as a sort of Greek chorus to the battles that are happening below, between the Cybertrons (alias Maximals) and Destrons (alias Predacons).
I've noticed an unsettling trend with many of my pictures... the women I draw are usually just sitting there, not doing anything. I've tried to rectify that with this week's new pictures, which is why Artemis is exercising. The video cover is an inside joke for fans of the American series.
The big question is... what's that thing that Moon is imagining with terror? Well, one of the running gags of the series is that Artemis is hot for Starscream, one of the Destron warriors, but also kind of likes Scuba, a Cybertron. Starscream is a jet: Scuba is a squid. Moon, obviously, isn't sure which one has lain with Artemis.

Stuck In The Middle

Preview image of lovin3.jpg Lovin and Akira, in this picture, are reenacting the torture scene from Quentin Tarentino's Reservoir Dogs. I do not pretend to have any inkling as to why they're doing this. Does everything have to have a reason? All you need to know is that Lovin's dancing and Akira is concerned for the welfare of his ear.

The Mysterious Playboy

Preview image of miaka.jpg The real-life Lovin is a huge Fushigi Yuugi fan, more so than she'd like to be (in that she's spent a huge amount of money on videos) and it didn't take long for me to get swept up in it and become a fan myself. If you've seen the show, you know that Miaka is the poster child for incurable gluttony... and what better excuse for incurable gluttony than to be eating for two?

Sheer Poetry

Preview image of chipmunk.jpg This is a poem I read years and years ago, and have never been able to forget. I don't remember who wrote it, other than that it was a nun. I wonder what she'd think of this picture?
If you've been paying attention, you'll notice two things about this fetching chipmunk lass: One is that she's the first actual "furry" to appear on this website, other than the Marrill girl (who doesn't count, being a Pokemon and all.) The other is that she is, without a doubt, the BIGGEST pregnant girl on the website to date, although the picture below of Lovin comes close. You like?

Lovin: A Graven Image

Preview image of goddess.jpg Up until now, we've only seen Lovin and her adoring mate Akira in their everyday lives, doing what people do. Not here, though: in this picture, Lovin has literally become a fertility goddess. No explanation offered or needed.
Ever notice that I haven't mentioned how many babies Lovin is carrying? There's a good reason for that: I don't know. Neither does she. I leave that blank for the viewer to fill in: she's having as many as you like. Personally, I think it's twins, but there will be some pictures (like this one!) that contradict me.
The Clefable wings were an afterthought.

Lovin On The Job

Preview image of lovin2.jpg This is what Lovin does for a living... sort of. She doesn't work at this particular restaurant chain, so much as she works for the mall it's situated in, doing whatever she's called in for. She's working here today because... well, because I wanted to draw her in a Hot Dog On A Stick uniform. Is that so wrong?!
If you're wondering about her startled expression, it's because her babies have suddenly started kicking like crazy, for no apparent reason. Hey, it happens.

Lovin In The Summertime

Preview image of lovin1.jpg Meet the mascot of PG-13! Her name is Lovin, and she's based on my real-life girlfriend. Lovin's story will be told through pictures... by and by we'll learn her interests, past, family and friends.
This picture is representative of the real-life Lovin's fascination with Japan, which, as you can probably tell, I share. The joke here is that 2000 is the year of the Golden Dragon, an extremely lucky year for babies to be born... so Japan is undergoing a small baby boom as couples try for a Golden Dragon baby. The character on Lovin's kimono, ryuu, means (of course) "dragon".

Belldandy & Keiichi & Urd (Oh My)

Preview image of belldandy.jpg Belldandy is one of my favorite anime girls, despite the fact that I haven't actually seen any of her shows. This may show in the picture, so if you're familiar with Aa! Megami-Sama and my renderings of the characters look a bit off, it's because they're based on the comic books rather than the anime.
Incidentally, Belldandy's typical flowing robes could easily accommodate even a massive pregnancy... but where's the fun in that?

Digital Mothers

Preview image of soramimi.jpg Here's a picture done originally for PGN Network. TPD did a pretty nice picture of Mimi, so I drew this as a follow-up, mainly to introduce Sora to the mix as well.
In the first draft for this, Patamon was sleeping happily in the ample shade provided by Sora's pregnant belly, but I forgot to include that in the final version. Rats!

Lum In The Sky

Preview image of lum.jpg Doesn't everybody love Lum? I know I sure do. This picture was also originally drawn for PGN Network, but at the time of this writing TPD hasn't uploaded it yet, and apparently doesn't intend to. Dadgummit!

Immaculate Conception Beam

Preview image of daisy.jpg Not many people will recognize this girl... her name's Hitomi Matzuzawa, and she comes from a somewhat obscure anime called Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy. The Mandark-lookin' guy in the background is called Techno, and the story involves his insane scientific attempts to make Daisy (the name he gave Hitomi, not knowing her real name) fall in love with him... or, in this case, keep anyone else from dating her. (Wouldn't work on me, though...kyuuuu!)
By the way, you may notice that this picture looks a bit... well, icky. This is because it's actually the first picture I drew for this website, and at the time I hadn't discovered an important Photoshop tool called the 'pen'. This picture was sketched by hand, then scanned and colored. I still use that method for the story artwork, but it just doesn't look good on a large scale.
