One of the longest-running manga and anime series of all time is one that Americans have never encountered-- Crayon Shin-Chan, about a Calvin-like little delinquent drawn in a near-Cubist style. This picture depicts two of his kindergarten teachers, Midori (left) and Ume (right), who can always find something to fight about-- leading to the inevitable conclusion that if they were both expecting at the same time, they'd even argue over whose belly was biggest!
Since we have far fewer Japanese patrons than one might suspect, here's a quick translation of their dialogue:
Midori: I am the biggest.
Ume: No, no, I am bigger than you.
Midori: No no no, I... (etc, etc, ad infinitum)

Another sprite, along the same threads as the Flower Sprite, but this one is a Kindle Sprite. Unlike her horticultural sister, not all Kindle Sprites are Breeders; this one is simply one of the lucky ones. Her Protector (alias "boyfriend") is Flame Sprite, a hot-blooded male.

Unlike last week's update, this girl is not a Ninpuchan, but an incredible simulation. She's a Sprite, coming from a card game that Quezelacot created, which is a little like the Pokчon card game but with girls rather than monsters. This one is the Flower Sprite, specifically a Breeder; Breeder Sprites are capable of giving birth to up to seven basketball-sized Sparks. And this one's quite evidently near her limit...

Ninpuchan: Creations of the Hazard

I finally feel comfortable with posting these now that the story behind Ninpuchan has been established... and let's have a big round of applause for this, the first piece of artwork by Lovin herself, Mistress Fire-Hazard!
Ms. FH isn't very confident in her drawing ability, particularly when it comes to action poses or human shapes that deviate from the norm (like, say, a pregnant woman). However, since I've been doing this website for two months now, she's observed enough to understand the basic anatomical differences. These three Ninpuchan girls are all her own creations, and they *will* be appearing in the actual story! Kabume is based on a bomb-throwing snail, and is outgoing and destructive. Halo is based on an electric jellyfish, and is fragile and shy. Kaliope is based on a gorilla/goat with one horn, and doesn't really figure into the current storyline... but when Ninpuchan: Series 2 comes out (and here's hoping), she's the star of the show!

If you've ever haunted the anime section at Blockbuster Video, chances are you've seen this one: Maris The Chojo, also known as "The Supergal," which was a one-shot story by Rumiko Takahashi (creator of Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2). Maris herself is a native of the destroyed planet Thanatos, and as such is immensely strong, to the point where she needs to wear a restraining suit to keep herself from destroying everything she touches. (As a result, she's perpetually broke from paying for things she breaks.) However, as Stephen shows in this picture, the restraining suit is apparently only strong enough to drain the power of one Thanatosian...
This picture has a bit of sentimental value to me, in that "Maris The Chojo" was the first anime video I ever rented with the knowledge that it was Japanese animation. That was the beginning of my life as an otaku, which is but one of my many fandoms. (However, it's doubtful that I'll ever be able to pull off an MST 3K-related picture for this website.)

I have no idea how it is that Lithiah's biology works, but I have some theories. One is that she's attempting to outdo herself with every pregnancy she undergoes, doubling or tripling the number of babies each time. Another is that rather than giving birth, her babies divide (like amoebas) and continue to grow... which would explain why she's carrying EIGHT in this picture.

Here's a new picture series that Sliptide is starting. All the girls you'll see in these pictures are (of course) pregnant, but it's all due to the amulet that's changing hands between them. This young lady made the mistake of trying to wear hers as an ornament on Prom Night... and let's hope she's smart enough NOT to dump the babies in the bathroom and go out to dance! (And if you understand that reference, you would have easily passed a Current Events class in the late nineties.)

This image involves characters from GS Mikami, an anime which is unknown in the States. Since I know nothing about it, other than that I like the picture, I'll let Stephen do the explaining for me...
Mikami Reiko (the red-haired woman) - The title character, one of Japan's top-ranked 'Ghost Sweepers' ('Ghost Sweeper' being a job which corresponds roughly to 'ghost buster') Has strong spirit powers and a razor-sharp business sense as well as something of a temper.
Pete (blond guy on the far left)- A vampire-half, who's actually quite a nice guy (doesn't hunt humans).
Ogasawa Emi (woman linking arms with Pete)- A rival Ghost Sweeper to Ms. Mikami. Not nearly as competent as she is, though. She spends a lot of time trying to seduce Pete, and judging by this picture, she obviously must have succeeded.
Yokoshima Tadao (guy giving the peace sign)- Ms. Mikami's assistant. An archetypical Ataru-like hentai loser, he does all the heavy and dangerous work for a wage of 250 yen per hour-- all for the rare opportunity to fondle Mikami or see her in the nude. He does acheive these goals occaisonally, though she always beats him into a pulp afterwards.... But in this picture he seems, like Emi, to have acheived his ultimate goal at least once.

Stephen's take on Dragon Ball Z. Isn't it nice to see Chichi before she became a harrowed soccer mom, but after her axe-hatted girlhood?
Something interesting occured to me while viewing this picture. If you've read the essay "Man Of Steel, Woman Of Kleenex," which was summarized in the movie Mallrats, you know that Superman and Lois Lane could never have a child together. Isn't it lucky, then, that Goku (being a superman himself) should have children with Chichi, the daughter of another superman (the Ox King)? The fate of the Saiyajin race is secured.
