A Visit From St. Valentine
Drawn by Invisible Walrus
![]() |
Many of us have spent the last month on tinterhooks, worrying for the safety of our friend Invisible Walrus, who we feared might be a martyr for our cause-- some families are less tolerant of eccentricities in the children they bring into the world. My fears are allayed-- I have recently received a letter from our favorite pinniped, detailing the bad times and the good of the last month, and the good times to come in the future. Huzzah! To celebrate, I finally bring up the picture IW sent me for Valentine's Day (geez, it's been too long since last update), illustrating an upcoming story called Espirit A L'Espirit. |
Potbellied Potpurri | |
Drawn by Kokesha | |

No one ever gets tired of Harvest Moon, no? Kokesha brings us an image of an especially fruitful game, featuring very ripe turnips and a very ripe wife to help eat them. Where have all the parsnips gone? |
So Sue Me | |
Drawn by KaileighBlue | |

Maybe it required more creativity than people are used to putting into these things? I don't know, but the "Mary Sue" fan-character-creation art challenge was pretty much a bust-- all four of our entries came from the ever-delightful KaileighBlue. All four of these characters are based on her, in some way or other, and if you're lucky enough to know her personally, they'll look familiar. Laurel Took: KB as a hobbit. I've known a lot of hobbitlike people, short and round and even-tempered, but very few as pretty as Laurel here, and still fewer with hairier feet than mine. New Sailor Senshi: Characters from various Sailor Moon roleplaying games KB has been involved in, each reflecting an aspect of her personality. I think it's odd that the one with the Weird Al connection should be 'peeved', but fandoms do differ. |
A Nice View | |
Drawn by Stephen | |

Sometimes a picture is just so gentle that you can't make any wacky comments about it. This is a sweet little image of a pregnant woman in 16th-century dress enjoying a nice view. No gimmicks, no popular characters. Just a smile. |
Oh, Konishiki, You're So Fine
Drawn by Stephen | |

After something so serious, we need to counter with something kooky, yes? Here we have a woman who hopes that her sumo training will lead to her child growing up to be a mighty rikishi. I don't think it's particularly healthy for an expectant mother to reach her physical limits, but try telling her that. Stephen didn't provide a name for her, but I think we should call her Dawn. (That's a sumo joke. If you don't get it, too bad.) |
Elf-Improvement | |
Drawn by Axel Rosered | |

The longtime PG-13 fan surely smiles to see the return of Mariah, the curious elven girl who is sort of RoseRed's mascot. We last saw her in a delicate situation, as the spell she read proved to have interesting side effects. Here, she's coming to accept her new lot as best as she can, with dignity if not precisely delight. This will not be as simple as other pregnancies, though, for as you can see, she's starting to outgrow her own bone structure. |
Lean On Me | |

So they call this gal Leena? Yeah, right! At this point, there are very few people that she's "leena" than! HAW HAW! I suck. |
The Friendly Skies | |
Drawn by Axel Rosered | |

Skies of Arcadia is the name of the game, and the results of our experiments are always the same. Aika and Fina, as pregnant as can be. Must I go on? I'm certain our hero Vyse hopes he doesn't have to. |
Rumik's Sphere | |
Drawn by Axel Rosered | |

Angry as we are over Rumiko Takahashi's instructions not to imagine girl-type Ranma pregnant, Axel gets his just revenge by drawing her... what? Oh, wait, this is the mother of one of the newer Digimon kids. We can see that his is a very fashionable mommy too, in that she wears loose socks just like the schoolgirls, and is so pregnant she can hardly walk, just like the schoolgirls. Well, just like the schoolgirls around here, at least. |
Make It Double, AGAIN | |
Drawn by Axel Rosered | |

Once more into the breach they go, Jessie and Cassidy, formerly Team Rocket small fry, now the boss's favorite guinea pigs for his fertility experiments. If you're wondering why those newbies Magma and Aqua are horning in on former Rocket territory, it could be that Giovanni finds the hyperpregnancy drug market much more lucrative. Axel took the opportunity to play around with styles in this picture, with interesting results-- you'll notice Jessie appears in a traditional style, like the animated series, while Cassidy is stylized in a more manga-like manner, closer to the celebrated Ono Toshihiro's. |
Maternal Megalopolis | |
Drawn by Pimp Daddy Axel Rosered

Quick-- what significant event in video game history happened in 1987? Well, Zelda II, yes, but perhaps even more significant was the release of the very first Mega Man game! And even though the box art looked terrible, it survived for a sequel, and that was a big hit that created another, and so on and so forth, for fifteen years now! As a special salute to the most prolific name in video games, Axel has given us images of nearly all the female characters from all four series! |
Sliptide: Wave Five And Counting
Drawn by Sliptide | |

There's never been a better time to be a Sliptide fan, because he's all over the place this month, and seems to like the word 'preggers' as of late. Enjoy! |
