What was up with Sexhound and Web1000?
If I send you a story, will you illustrate it?
Web1000, the second server, took even less time to decide that it was time to move-- from the very start, it was loaded with obnoxious, bandwidth-hogging audio ads ("Looking for hot, hard porn?") and consistently slow-loading. The killer, however, was that many of the fans who'd first seen the page on Sexhound now could no longer view the page at *all*, because of some strange firewalls and miswiring that kept some servers from EVER connecting to Web1000.
So, here we are at the third edition of the page, now hosted at Dreamhost. Which is shaping up to be very, VERY nice... at the time of this writing. Stay tuned.
Are you a pro-lifer?
Surprisingly enough, NO. I'm a firm supporter of a woman's right to choose. An unwanted pregnancy is not sexy or romantic, but tragic. (Of course, you may see artwork of unwanted pregnancies on my website, but this is generally in a fantastic sense and intended purely for humor.) It may seem like a contradiction for a pregnancy fetishist to be pro-abortion, but it's just the way it is.Why "PG-13?"
Because my erotic fantasies are, oddly enough, seldom rated X... and so, PG-13, for adult situations involving pregnancy. Clever pun, wouldn't you say? (And by the way, there are no restrictions on guest submissions... you can be as clean or as dirty as you wanna be.) What is this "Ninpuchan?"
Ninpuchan is this site's most popular feature: a continuing serial story, each part of which is furnished with several illustrations. The story is a comic romance, wrapped in a parody of those "Collectible Monster" cartoons that have been so popular since the late nineties. Although it was previously featured on the Illustrated Stories page, Ninpuchan has since swelled too large for PG-13 and now has its own sister site. Check it out... you'll like it!
What was up with Sexhound and Web1000?
For those of you just joining us, Sexhound was the original service provider for this site. The biggest problem with Sexhound was that half of the visitors couldn't even get to the site, because Sexhound thought to profit by sending link-clickers to an advertising splash page (one of which featured a huge picture of a disturbingly large penis), rather than the actual website. At first the page was accessible from the splash page, but then the policy changed and the link appeared in a pop-up window... which almost NO ONE could get to appear. That's when I decided enough was enough; time to move.Who's Mistress Fire-Hazard?
Mistress Fire-Hazard is the net.handle of the woman who is my girlfriend/fiancee in real life, who'd rather not reveal her real name here (for obvious reasons). She is also the inspiration for Lovin, our page mascot, in form and personality. Although she really doesn't dig ultra-sized pregnant pictures, she loves having fans and really appreciates the feedback we get from Lovin/Akira pictures. She's also the co-creator of Wilder, by the way... the personalities of Art and Wilder surfaced through various roleplay sessions. If you listen to the Ninpuchan MP3s, you'll hear her as the voice of Wilder as well!
Why do you draw in that weird pseudo-manga style?
Funny that if you draw large eyes and add highlights, people automatically decide you draw in 'anime style.' It's true, I do that. I enjoy the iconic nature of the faces I draw, and my anime girl faces are far more attractive than when I try to draw in 'American' style.
...It interests me that almost every submission I get is also in manga style, or at least an approximation thereof. New viewers, take note that your images don't have to be in this style at all; it's just that most of the regular contributors like manga style as well as I do.
So when do updates happen?
Huh boy.
I've seen other pregnancy websites thrown into turmoil over people complaining that updates don't happen enough. Cheviot deals with it by forbidding you to ask on his message board, under penalty of no updates for a month. It works, mostly, but I don't want to be a hard-ass about that kind of thing. Actually, I've found a much nicer way to be a hard-ass.
The frequency of updates falls squarely on the shoulders of YOU, the viewer. Here's how it works: Monday is "Guest Update" day, Thursday is "Webmaster Update" day, and Thursday always follows Monday. If I haven't gotten anything from you guys to update with on Monday, there won't be any update on Thursday either. I envision PG-13 as an 'interactive' site; give and you receive, hold back and you get squat. So before you write me an e-mail asking why I haven't updated in three weeks, ask yourself why you haven't put pen to paper yet. (And don't worry... even if, by some horrible failing on my part, Thursday goes unupdated despite Monday's having an update, the next Monday's update will be unimpeded. And there'll probably be something extra on Thursday.)Can I send you morphs?
NO. Morphs are nice, but this is an all CG site-- it's artwork or nothing. If you have a morph, send it to Cheviot! (He does have a Guest Morph section, you know!)Can I send you a computer-generated image?
If you've got the technology and the talent, sure....What about stories?
OK, stories work a bit different here than they do on other maieusophilia sites. If you're going to write a story for this website, it MUST be illustrated. It doesn't have to be a comic, although those are welcomed; a mostly-text story with one illustration is fine. If you can write but not draw, post on my message board and ask other artists if they'll be willing to draw for you.
Update: I have amended my ban on unillustrated stories: If your story happens to be a Ninpuchan fanfiction, then send 'em on in! I'll illustrate them myself when I get the time!If I send you a story, will you illustrate it?
You're welcome to try, but I make no promises that I'll go through with illustrating it. Sending me a story to illustrate is basically the same as making a request (see below), except it requires more work on the requester's part. I'll illustrate a guest's story if it REALLY wows me, knocks me on my ass and doesn't let me up until the count of 3. Otherwise, I'll probably just give fair criticism and suggest another site where it could be posted. And if it's already been posted everywhere... well, nice try, but no.Do you take requests?
No... or at least, not right now. I've got an awful lot of ideas right now, and I want to get a fair amount of those out of my head before I start on emptying others' heads. (However, this doesn't mean I won't volunteer to draw something suggested on the board.) As with the story illustrations, post on the message board with your ideas and we'll see who's willing to draw them for you. Better yet, why not check out some 'how to draw' websites, practice a while, and then try drawing it yourself? Just please, no goddamned Lara Croft...Is fan art OK? How about furries?
Either is fine. I'm mostly going to concentrate on anime fan art, but if you'd like to do a preggers Jubilee or something, that'd be good too. Furries... well, heck, what do you think Ninpuchan is? Furries are welcomed, but I'd prefer them to be humanoid, at least in shape if not detail. (In other words, no taurs, pedes, normal animals, etc.)What about pictures dealing with lactation, binging/stuffing, BBWs, etc?
If the woman in your picture is visibly pregnant, I'll take what I can get; however, I can be hard to please. (And please, for the love of God, none of those bizarre ones where the woman smiles cheerfully as she's messily shorn in two. Yeeeesh.) Where should I send pictures and how?
Send them to gravidtron@hotmail.com, in either GIF or JPG format. If you send a .BMP, I'll request that you resend it in a better format. Story submissions should either be in plain text (.txt) or HTML format. Submissions in .doc (Microsoft Word) or .wpd (WordPerfect) formats will be given the same treatments as .BMPs.
